Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I am writing to update you about the future plans of the Royal Canyon Property Owners Association (RCPOA). At the end of this year, the terms of many of our current board members will expire and there will no longer be a required quorum to continue the business of RCPOA. This presents challenges for continuing our beloved neighborhood block party National Night Out, the annual Summer Social Dinner Party, neighborhood social activities and events, neighborhood safety and security sharing with Glendale Police, website, email and newsletter communications, hosting of the City Council Candidates Forum, and multiple collaborations with local businesses, Glendale Community College and City Government.
Despite our efforts to recruit new board members to the associations’ leadership, we haven’t yet found any interest from the neighborhood to fill these upcoming vacancies.
However, all is not lost! We are hosting an open community meeting at 7:00 pm on November 7th at Verdugo Woodlands Dads Club, 1728 Canada Blvd for all neighbors interested in serving on the board or learning more about RCPOA to come and meet the current board in an open Q&A. Unfortunately, If we do not have at least 12 RSVPs and 5 candidates willing to serve, RCPOA will have to disband after 54 years.
Being an RCPOA board member truly is a fantastic way to get involved in your community without sacrificing all your free time. To learn more about board member responsibilities and the RCPOA Mission, please visit the links below.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend. We’re excited to welcome new faces to our Neighborhood Property Owners Association Board. Let’s work together to create an even more vibrant and welcoming community.
Please feel free to contact me or visit our website to learn more.
Warmest regards,
Beth Volpe RCPOA President c: (213) 590-8550 e: beth.rcpoa@gmail.com
