Call in or Attend Council Meeting

Tuesday, October 21, 2025  6 PM

Dear RCPOA Members,

This Tuesday, October 21 at 6:00 PM, the Glendale City Council meets at 613 E. Broadway (2nd Floor). We need a strong neighborhood presence to follow up on the RCPOA + RMHOA letter (copy attached below) you received earlier this week and to ask Council to put the Civic Auditorium/management item on a formal agenda and direct staff to include the neighborhoods in the RFP preparation and analysis.

Attend in person: Council Chambers, 613 E. Broadway, 2nd Floor (arrive a few minutes early to fill out a speaker card).

Call in: 818-937-8100 (follow prompts to make a public comment during the first public comment period).

What to say:

Good evening, Mayor and Councilmembers. My name is [Name], and I’m a resident of Royal Canyon. I want to place on the record that I received and read the joint RCPOA and RMHOA letter regarding the Civic Auditorium. I support the request to bring this matter forward for an open, agendized discussion.

Specifically, I’m asking the Council to agendize the Civic Auditorium/management item and to direct staff to include neighborhood stakeholders—RCPOA and RMHOA—in the RFP development and evaluation process. That means collaborating on the scope of work, the evaluation criteria, and the public outreach plan, so that community priorities—access, programming, noise/traffic management, and fiscal transparency—are built in from the start.  A transparent process with objective criteria and meaningful community participation will produce better proposals and a better outcome for Glendale. Thank you for considering this request and for your service.

Thank for participating in your associations efforts to manage and maintain this important community asset in the best interest of our neighborhood.

Sincerely,

Byron Hibdon
